Old folding box/display for 24 lace samples
A lovely old object with handwritten numbers next to each sample. It looks as though some swatches were removed and replaced during its lifetime of use, but seems pretty full now, and looks great, in a Victorian sort of way. Box is well worn, bowed, stained, chipped and patched-not much to look at when closed. A unique item, and large... a little hard to photograph.
