Hough's American Woods Part I

Bearing the copyright date 1886. Leather and cloth box holding twenty-five attractive cards (complete), each displaying three mounted samples of actual wood types, (transverse, radial and tangential sections). Also, several loose samples tucked in. box has some rubbing and darkening to top edge. Part of metal clasp is missing. Some splitting and loss to paper lining inside (see photographs). Some samples have small areas of loss and cracks, but on the whole very good.This was the first of several volumes published until the 1920s.
