Paris: Editions du Regard, 1988. The scarce French edition of the massive monograph on fashion designer Cristobal Balenciaga. A beautiful production, illustrated throughout. Now very hard to find, especially in the original French edition. With a section on his relationship to painting, his home "La Reynerie".  Marie-Louise Bousquet, Clare Booth-Luce, the Duchess of Windsor, Helena Rubinstein, Marella Agnelli, Gloria Guinness, Henry Clarke, David Seidner, Roger Jean-Pierre, With 600 illustrations- 200 in color and 190 in duotone. A very nice copy, with original publisher's slipcase. Small closed tear to jacket.
