By Richard Martin & Harold Koda
New York: Metropolitan Museum of Art/ Costume Institute, 1993. Leopard-print slipcase holding a Visionnaire-designed red "D.V." folder, with pamphlet & loose plates, devoted to Diana Vreeland. Extremely scarce in any condition, this elaborate production, with die-cut 'D.V.' pockets (to hold plates and booklet), often has some condition problems. This copy has only minor flaws-some creasing to folder spine, light rubbing, a tiny closed tear at a fold. Leopard-print slipcase in very good condition. The base of the ‘D’ and 'V' have become neatly unglued, as is often the case.
