Great collection of structures built for animals, including an obelisk for a pig, a tomb for a trout, a pyramid for poultry, a temple for terrapins and castles for salmon, bear, deer and doves. A vast pavilioned palace for hounds built outside of Glasgow in 1732 by William Adam, 'Capability' Brown's domed menagerie at Castle Ashbury. Arabian palaces for bees, Gothic 'ruins' for cows and sheep. Dust jacket has light edge wear.
