How to win invitations and influence newspaper columnists. A do-it-yourself kit for breaking into society--by a sophisticated, amused and socially acceptable society editor
New York: Doubleday & Co., 1965. Scarce little book--this is the second copy I have found over twenty years. The society editor for Town & Country, and the photographer for the El Morocco, gives advice on how to rise in society. With hommages to Elsa Maxwell, Evita Peron, Mrs Astor, Mrs Vanderbilt, and Laura Corrigan. Hardcover with very good dust jacket in very good condition overall, but with minor flaws: very light handling wear to jacket, and two short closed tears, one of which has been neatly repaired from behind with tape. Some scattered brown spots occasionally throughout--I have photographed the worst of them--from someone's old cookie crumbs reacting to paper. Since the photograph was taken the jacket has been slipped into a protective, removable plastic sleeve, and it looks quite bright.
