New York: Macmillan, 1967. A very nice copy of David Hicks' first book. The colorful dust jacket has survived very well, with only a little wear at top and an internal scuff. Chapters include Colour; Furniture; Fabrics & Carpets; Lighting; Kitchens; Bathrooms; Halls, Staircases and Rumpus Rooms; Accessories; Gardens; Luxury; Other People's Rooms. David Bailey took some of the photographs inside. With b&w photographs, and rich color ones. Previous owner's bookplate. Dust jacket, with light wear only, now protected in a plastic sleeve (note: there is glare in the photograph). First blank page seems to have been affixed to inside cover (book begins with title page).
