Includes a Babylonian tablet preserved in a Morocco lettered case,an Egyptian papyrus, the first edition of “The Golden Ass”, a fifteenth-century phamaceutical manuscript, some old chained books with chains present, a fifteenth-century book on memory aids, a first edition of Hypnerotomachia Poliphili, Cryptomenities et Cryptographiae from 1624, a book bound in human flesh,  alarge collection of tiny books, etc. The catalogue ends with several interesting Lewis Carroll items. Some wear, loss at extremities, some browning. Binding a bit dry.
